Baku Boulevard turned into a hub of culture and cooperation on Sunday, 22 June, as EuroVillage 2025 welcomed thousands of visitors for a day full of celebration, learning, and connection. The annual event, organised by the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, embassies of EU Member States and EU projects, featured cultural showcases, interactive exhibitions, and informative stands from across Europe. The day began with a welcoming speech from Peter Michalko, EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan, joined on stage by ambassadors from EU countries.

The European Union’s Initiative - EU4Business had a dedicated stand at the event, drawing attention to the EU’s strong support for small and medium-sized enterprises in Azerbaijan. Visitors learned about ongoing projects, available business support services, and key partner organisations helping local entrepreneurs thrive. Informative reports and materials highlighted how EU4Business is driving innovation, productivity, and growth across Azerbaijan’s SME sector.

EU4Business’s presence underlined the EU’s ongoing commitment to empowering Azerbaijani entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth across the country.

Only in 2023, under the EU4Business initiative, the EU funded 31 diverse projects with a total of over EUR 111 million, benefiting 1,999 SMEs. Together, the projects generated around 1,067 new jobs and drove a notable 24% increase in the total turnover of SMEs in Azerbaijan.
